My name is Betty Jones. My daughter’s name was Stephanie and she was my only child. She was beautiful, gifted and talented. I loved her and still love her dearly. Stephanie left me way too soon as a result of asthma. She left this earth in 2014 and left my heart completely broke.
Stephanie had been educated as and started her career as a middle school teacher. She had mixed feeling about being a teacher because she was not too keen on the traditional classroom setting. Her dream and goal was to create a career development center where she could help students bridge the gap between what they were learning in the classroom and what would be required of them to successfully compete in today’s job market.
I have created Helping Young People Succeed (HYPS) to somewhat bring Stephanie’s dream to reality. Because of that, her picture will always be featured in each post.
While we are not creating a physical career development center, with HYPS we will explore vast array of career and educational options and provide detailed information to students (and their parents) so informed decisions can be made about their future.
With HYPS my goal is to help every young person (regardless of background) succeed and be everything God created them to be.
